to busy as usual

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 11, 2009, 6:33 PM
I swear, I'm way to busy anymore. Between school, kids, moving, kids schools, just everything; I don't have time to do jack crap! I love it though, I stay super busy! We moved again...but this time, we are buying our house! Its nice & has a fenced in yard. I love it to pieces. Its out in the country which is a bigger plus. I have cows, horses, & farm land all around me! Its great! I actually moved right down the road from where I spent my high school years. So major trip down memory lane here! I wouldn't trade it for nothin though. Its a really good area to raise kids in. The schools are amazing & as are the majority of people here. Due to everything going on & having to wait 2 weeks to get my net turned on (They had to send out a tech to install a phone line cuz it hasn't had one for some reason), I had to take a temporary break from school. (Their policy) I start back on Oct. 5th. Which I'm okay with; gives me time to focus on kids schooling & my misc house projects. (I have some painting to do & a bunch of scrap wood I want to see what I can make with) Maybe a toybox or something. We'll see. :-) But I'm back online, will post some of the photos I have soon. Maybe. Okay, I'll TRY to post them :giggle:
Oh, I did get all my school software. I have like everything I could possibly want. I'm so excited 'bout that :-)
Well, this is short & sweet. I gotta bath kids, work on their reading with them, & get them to bed! Maybe after they are in bed, I can process some more photos!

Devious Journal Entry

Journal Entry: Sun Aug 16, 2009, 8:52 PM
Just wanted to drop a quick entry & let everyone know I'm alive. I pretty much have dropped off the face of the planet for a while. Sorry, personal life has had a lot of issues thats required my attention above everything else. Gotta love how that goes. Ummm, lets see, I start school next week. First class is a "Strategies for online learning" Should be easy enough. & Then I start the other classes. One of the first ones is...DRAWING! How is drawing essential to a degree in photography??? Apparently its a good way to learn & understand lighting! Okay, thats fine...Thats great with one teeny tiny problem...I can't draw to save my life!! I'm so nervous 'bout that class. Eeek!
I haven't been doing a whole lot with anything in my art. Just been sorting through whats been going on. It isn't easy. But we'll get through it :)
Thats it for now. Later all :)

I swear I'm still around!

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 19, 2009, 10:13 AM
Okay, so I've been really bad at updating this thing lately...welcome to the summer time for me though! We have been so freakin busy! We live at the shop pretty much...been spending most of the time outside. I love being outside....its awesome! Been teaching my daughter how to ride her bike without training wheels. (Pretty funny, the girl can DRIVE a 4-wheeler but doesn't know how to go without training wheels on her bike yet :giggle:) She's getting it thought. I'm very proud of her! Things are going great though! We discovered that Justin's uncle really knows NOTHING 'bout vehicles. Lets see, what he called a bad fuel pump was a bad battery cable (That STILL cracks me up). He said the relay was bad for my heater/ac...guess what! Its not the relay! Its just the dang knob. Easy easy fix! (The relay would have been easy...too, but still) & He said my tahoe had 2 bad tie rod ends...but guess what, nope! I have a bad pitman arm...which looks like it could be a bit of a pain to change...But I'll get it done! (I basically have Justin telling me how to do stuff & I do it...how the hell else do I learn?) I can change altenators, starters, oil, brakes....the list is growing :D My tahoe is a dream vehicle....Its great!
We've been spending a lot of time on the 4-wheelers...well, me & the kids are, Justin is on his dirt bike. I can't wait to ride that thing. I'm going to learn! It goes fast...I like fast! :giggle: I'm trying to talk Justin into buying a bigger 4wheeler though....More power...go faster :D We are actually probably going to buy one for the kids first...somethin 'bout the same size as ours....but we'll lock the throttle down. More toys! I love toys...I'm a big kid at heart....guess thats why Justin & I get along so good & the kids always have fun!
Oh & In other news, we have added on even more to our family...we have 2 new puppies! I know, we are insane...but we love it! Shadows mommy had more babies. Her owner contacted me & asked if we would be interested in adopting one. We went & looked at them. Justin fell in love with one of the little girls. We decided on her & had to wait one more week to get her. (She wasn't ready to leave her mom yet) When we go to pick her up....well, the other girl we both loved wasn't homed! So needless to say, we came home with 2 adorable puppy girls! Neisha is Justin's lil girl & Stormy is mine. (Stormy looks almost identical to Shadow as a pup!!) So expect some photos...I have a bunch to get processed still yet!
Oh & all my awesome watchers...go check out :iconrockencranch: That's my aunt! She is joining the deviantart world! She is discovering a love for photography! & I believe she's quite good at it :) Go check her out, show her some love, & make her feel welcome do DA! I would love ya'll forever! :)
That's it for now. Its sunday & we have a 76 Chevy Diesel to start tearing apart...Oh Joy! :) Later all!

beware of SNAKES!!

Journal Entry: Tue Jul 7, 2009, 9:07 AM
I snagged this from ^kkarts journal! Its long but it is a good read!

Snakes also known as Garter Snakes (Thamnophissirtalis) can be dangerous. Yes, grass snakes, not rattlesnakes. Here's why.

A couple in Sweetwater, Texas, had a lot of potted plants. During a recent cold spell, the wife was bringing a lot of them indoors to protect them from a possible freeze.

It turned out that a little green garden grass snake was hidden in one of the plants. When it had warmed up, it slithered out and the wife saw it go under the sofa. She let out a very loud scream.

The husband (who was taking a shower) ran out into the living room naked to see what the problem was. She told him there was a snake under the sofa.

He got down on the floor on his hands and knees to look for it. About that time the family dog came and cold-nosed him on the behind. He thought the snake had bitten him, so he screamed and fell over on the floor. His wife thought he had had a heart attack, so she covered him up, told him to lie still and called an ambulance.

The attendants rushed in, would not listen to his protests, loaded him on the stretcher, and started carrying him out. About that time, the snake came out from under the sofa and the Emergency Medical Technician saw it and dropped his end of the stretcher. That's when the man broke his leg and why he is still in the hospital.

The wife still had the problem of the snake in the house, so she called on a neighbour who volunteered to capture the snake.. He armed himself with a rolled-up newspaper and began poking under the couch. Soon he decided it was gone and told the woman, who sat down on the sofa in relief.

But while relaxing, her hand dangled in between the cushions, where she felt the snake wriggling around. She screamed and fainted, the snake rushed back under the sofa. The neighbour man, seeing her lying there passed out, tried to use CPR to revive her. The neighbour's wife, who had just returned from shopping at the grocery store, saw her husband's mouth on the woman's mouth and slammed her husband in the back of the head with a bag of canned goods, knocking him out and cutting his scalp to a point where it needed stitches.

The noise woke the woman from her dead faint and she saw her neighbor lying on the floor with his wife bending over him, so she assumed that the snake had bitten him. She went to the kitchen and got a small bottle of whiskey, and began pouring it down the man's throat. By now, the police had arrived.

Breathe here....

They saw the unconscious man, smelled the whiskey, and assumed that a drunken fight had occurred. They were about to arrest them all, when the women tried to explain how it all happened over a little garden snake! The police called an ambulance, which took away the neighbour and his sobbing wife. Now, the little snake again crawled out from under the sofa and one of the policemen drew his gun and fired at it. He missed the snake and hit the leg of the end table. The table fell over, the lamp on it shattered and, as the bulb broke, it started a fire in the drapes. The other policeman tried to beat out the flames, and fell through the window into the yard on top of the family dog who, startled, jumped out and raced into the street, where an oncoming car swerved to avoid it and smashed into the parked police car.

Meanwhile, neighbours saw the burning drapes and called in the fire department. The firemen had started raising the fire ladder when they were halfway down the street. The rising ladder tore out the overhead wires, put out the power, and disconnected the telephones in a ten-square city block area (but they did get the house fire out).

Time passed! Both men were discharged from the hospital, the house was repaired, the dog came home, the police acquired a new car and all was right with their world.

A while later they were watching TV and the weatherman announced a cold snap for that night. The wife asked her husband if he thought they should bring in their plants for the night.

And that's when he strangled her

 :nana:
